“Daily” Savings Time
For what I believe are 48 of the 50 United States, our minds did a mental dance with the clock to try to trick ourselves into thinking we have either lost an hour in our day or, as in the fall, have gained one. My mind doesn't take the bait. All I know is that right now and through the summer, the days ahead will be lighter for seemingly a longer period of time. This I cherish!
The Battle of the Seasons
About now, each year the battle begins. “It’s too early for pumpkin spice, hoodies and fall (or Halloween and Christmas) decorations!” But who’s to say? In my little corner of the world, despite what part of the world that I was or am living in, I’ve always wondered to those who protest: “How is this hurting you?”
Seasons
Seasons. In the Rockies they can change abruptly. A hot day in August can be followed by a cooler day that is a welcomed respite from the heat. But then I begin to notice that those hot days have seemingly disappeared and the cooler days are the norm. It’s as if they arrived overnight and I didn’t get the memo.
